I think I read somewhere that someone read somewhere that players like close savard pronger don't have to be protected even though they have their nmc. Heck even with forced protection for clowe there isn't much Vegas would want.

Definitely I would leave camaleri unprotected. You could make an argument for zajac being protected but damn seeing that hit run rough 20 hurts.

From the wording it sounds like NMC means they're locked in for you, they can't be put up for expansion. No trade clauses however is more of a grey area. If that's the case I would leave Zajac open and lock up more of our young D. Most of our young forwards are exempt since they're still on ELCs. Palmieri, Henrique, Blandisi, Boucher are the 4 definite forwards for me.
