I could care less what Tebow does in OTA's. He is the 4th QB and needs to earn a spot. I really think he will beat Barkley out because he has other skills that can be utilized. I have no problem keeping Barkley if Tebow can't make the throws. Either way we are screwed if we need to depend on our 3rd string QB. :D

How can Tebow's decision making look bad in non contact OTAs?

Pretty simple. First week on the field in a new system. Reportedly, Sanchez looked really bad at this time last year as well. Frankly, even though I am a Tebow fan, I do think he is somewhat of a meathead. He has never been at his best executing a system. He is best when things break down and the game is simplified to a playground style. He is a 240 lb guy that can run and beat you up. He forces defenders to account for him as a runner and is a good enough thrower to take advantage of the holes that creates. Those skills don't translate well to practice.

One of the things I like about the way the Eagles construct their roster is there is usually legitimate talent top to bottom. Most team would be screwed with their 3rd QB, but in Barkley and Tebow, the Eagles have a couple of pretty talented guys competing. Barkley was once considered a potential first round pick before his shoulder problems and Tebow was one. If bad things were to happen, I am not convinced that the Eagles couldn't compete with one of these guys.

If either of those guys plays at all, we are done. Neither Barkley or Tebow is anywhere near an NFL QB.

I find these sort of statements to be almost ignorant. You really have very little to base an opinion on a third string QB. Both these guys were highly successful college QBs and Tebow has a winning record as an NFL QB. None of us have seen Barkley play since his rookie year.

The Eagles have a program going on there to develop these guys and run a system that has been quite successful over the last two years, with arguable fairly mediocre talent at QB.

Then you look at the history of the league where unknowns have emerged regularly to have great runs. Guys like Kurt Warner, Tom Brady and Tony Romo were all at one time even less known that these guys.

You don't know what you don't know. To suppose the negative when you don't know is a poor assumption.

I always expect Tebow to get criticized. He has been away from the game for a while. He needs more reps
and time to adjust and improve. He can learn the Kelly system by practicing it. Tebow is smart and athletic
and will prove the doubters wrong as time goes by.

I think Chip was hoping Tebow could replace Barkley who flat out blows.

TT will only be an emergency QB, and short yardage specialist. Barkley, unfortunately, doesn't have NFL skills. So, we can only depend on Bradford and Sanchez to have a winning season. That's my take. We'll see. Unless SB never has another injury, Chip will still someday draft his QB of the future.
