Atleast this team is looking much better. If they could hit free throws, they would be even better. Big games coming up, ND, Duke, Pitt, FSU, rough road still to come. As long as they compete they should be ok. I was tired of them coming in and having the attitude that they just don't care.

They have looked better, but they have played lesser talent. They should be able to take ND in South Bend, but it will be a test. Then we'll really see if there has been an improvement or not when they play Pitt and Duke. I get the feeling the play of late has been more a reflection of the schedule than actual improvement. Free throws will definitely cost them at least one more game this year. Hope I'm wrong.

Cyrstal I hope you are wrong. MD is not a bad team at all. I think the team is playing better. I think they can beat Pitt. Duke on the other hand, different story. They shoot the 3 ball and Roy's teams have never been any good at defending the 3. I know this team will not win a championship, but at least show up and play hard is all I ask. They have a tough road ahead so tome will tell.

Amazingly enough, UNC is the number 1 defense against the three in the ACC based on FG%. I am curious to see them against Pitt. UNC's big men have played extremely soft this year and everyone, except Brice Johnson, seems to have trouble finishing at the rim. Officiating will be key. UNC is a very deep team and plays better in closely officiated games. I believe part of the reason for their slump to start the conference schedule was due to the officiating allowing more physical play than they did during the non-conference slate. As a side note, I read that PJ Hairston will be at the Pitt game. Hopefully that provides some extra motivation for the Heels.

I have not been that impressed with Pitt. I know they play good defense, but there offense is sluggish, just like the Heels. I think the Heels match up well with them. I think depth will play a big roll. With UNC being deeper on the inside, I think that gives them the edge. I think the rest of there games are winnable games except for Duke. Only reason I say that is because of there offense, shooting the 3 ball. If they are hitting, I don't think UNC can score enough to keep up. But if they are not, UNC has a good chance.

I sure miss the CBS Sports message board. That board was very active. Would love to see more fans over here.

Bring on the Dookies! Glad the first one is at the Smith Center. Actually think the Heels have a shot. Not sure I would have said that 2 weeks ago.

Well...winners of 5 in a row, and 6 out of 7, and all by 10+ points...moved from dead last in the ACC to 5th...pretty impressive. Next game is a big one and I think they have a shot...especially since it's at the Dean Dome.

Agreed...I think after all the hype of the Syracuse-duke game, duke might overlook this game just a bit...as silly as that sounds, based on all the history. But there was a lot of talk after that game about a new rivalry. K said something to the effect that a rivalry doesn't have to be based on hatred. Sounds like duke is looking for new rivalries. Hopefully, UNC can take care of business this Wednesday and keep this momentum going.

I have been lax in my posting. Should be back on here more when college baseball starts up.

The way we have been playing in this 5 game stretch gives me hope we can beat dook. Our strength is our defense and that happens to be dook's weakness. I have hope....

big game vs dook and I think it's season changing game. If we win it gives this team big confidences a loss will show that the win steak was against avg teams

were gonna need everyone to step up mcd/paige big 3s Kennedy joel McAdoo make shots and free throws. let's get it heels.

Question is who guards Parker? Whether it's McAdoo or Tokoto, they need to stay out of foul trouble. Hopefully, Brice shows up like he has in the last couple. We're going to need double figures out of him.

I think Parker & Hood will be tough to gaurd. The other players sit on the 3 line. I hope we do not try to keep up with the 3 ball. I think if we do, will be long night. Need to pound inside and shoot over 50%. Hope McDonald doesnt go to jacking up off balance 3's. I agree we need some 3's, but go inside and makes points. Fouls to Tokota and McAdoo could also be big. Play the way they have been palying and should be a good game. PLEASE GUYS, SHOW SOME HEART!!!!!
