I'm surprised any were hit considering there was a stiff south/southeast wind blowing in last night. I've never been to the Home Run Derby, so I'm not sure if they use the actual ball park fences or not.

Come to think of it. I think I remember someone telling me one time they're allowed to use their bat of choice, so they probably use the original fences. .

I'm not surprised about the number of Home Runs. It's not a game situation and the balls that are thrown are hanging, on purpose.
I've never heard about a Home Run Derby where they change the dimensions of the field. That would be pretty lame.

It was very strange that 4 of the hitters came from the Big 12 and Texas.
