The Rams play in-state rival CU on Saturday in Denver. First-year CSU coach Jim McElwain says the game isn’t just important for the two programs, it’s important for the state of Colorado.

“We’re the only two Division I programs in the state,” McElwain said. “I know that all these games, when you go up against a school, you are taking your conference with you. It’s great for our conference to show our strength.
