Ross said he felt like he cramped up at the beginning of his sprint and he still ran a 4.22

How many more TDs would he have had in 2016 had Browning not underthrown him on so many deep balls?

My guess is even though he didn't win the island that Nike gives him a nice bonus for wearing their shoes when breaking the record. So probably money wise still the same amount coming his way just he gets to choose how to spend it instead of paying taxes on an island that I'm guessing cost a small fortune.

Plus then the possible bump in draft position adds some more money in his pockets. Very impressive run especially when you not only add the cramping during the run but that he has a bum shoulder. People forget running isn't just about the legs but the arm drive is a huge part of helping shave some time as well. If he was fully healthy I wouldn't be shocked to see him run in the 4.18 range.

Teams have to be worried though about that injury history. He is getting ready to play the most physical positions in football in the slot and on special teams. Big hits are coming his way so how long can his body hold up? Amazing talent that I just worry will never live up to the hype.

Watched it live, pretty amazing. Also a bit anti-climactic since the display of the time disappeared when he was running so you couldn't see it for a few seconds after he was finished. He made himself a lot of cabbage yesterday -- believe he signed a deal with Nike within hours of the run.

Will be interesting to see where he fits in the draft.

Good for him but If I had an early enough pick, I would rather have Mike Williams

Really? I think he may be regarded higher nationally than Ross, so i'm sure you're not alone with that opinion.....but I didn't see Mike Williams do a whole lot other than go up and get 50/50 balls. That's a good skill and all, but I don't see the same ceiling or game breaking ability in him as I do in Ross. Could be short changing Williams a bit, admittedly, cuz I only saw a couple games.

I would like to see him in a Hawks uni but since WR isn't top priority and he wouldn't last that long in the draft, I hope the Eagles take him so I can continue to watch his career. Weintz and Ross would make a good pairing.

Browning folded like a cheap tent when the pressure was on... He was miserable

He sure did. Dude was putting up big numbers than kaboom! looked like two totally different QB's out there. Did not even look close to the Browning we have come to know. You got to believe he let the hype get to him then just folded, i mean what else could it have been. Had he even been 50% of his normal self i think they knock off Alabama. For weeks i was like he has to snap out of it sooner or later but dang it was like 4 games or more and he just never got back to his old self.

I don't think you guys are giving enough credit to Alabama's defense.

What? Browning was playing poorly WELL BEFORE the Alabama game. MANY MANY weeks of bad play from him at the end of the season.

In the Alabama game i saw a QB missing wide open throws by miles. Yeah had he been his normal 2015 early 2016 self they move the ball a lot better and probably score 2 or more TD than they did.

Well I think he over exaggerated with the MANY MANY but he did say towards the end of the season. I do remember those final 3-4 weeks or so, it was not the best performances.

His rating was basically 150+ if not over 200+ the entire season. Then the final 4 weeks went: 105, 131, 191 (beat up on WSU), then 106, and finally 83 at Bama. I don't know why College doesn't just use the NFL format but I know most of the great QBs are posting 160 averages... Jake Browning did for the season, it's just that all his bad games came right at the end...

I think the nerves/pressure got to him a little. Bama has a great defense, but still. UW was on track to put up school record, on the verge of making the top 4, and there was some pressure since there was a lot of discussion around UW needing to go undefeated to make it (they did with 1 loss, but still).

"Not the best performances" is not remotely close to "many, many weeks of poor games". Basically 2 games toward the end that were statistically much lower than the others, leading up to the Bama game. That just isn't many, many. It's fuggin 2.
