To SF for a 5th. We would be cutting him tomorrow anyway so at least we got something. Our interior line has not played well this preseason so that says a lot that he couldnt beat Joe Dahl.

But he was such a 'high character' guy. What a load of shit from Mayhew.

I liked what I read about Laken pre-draft that year. Compared to some of the other duds that gave Detroit nothing in compensation, between the years of service and a draft pick down the road it was worth the risk.

Quinn continues to impress. He is building depth and competition to the point that we aren't beholden to a mediocre player like Tomlinson. Nobody will put Quinn over over a barrel. He moved Tomlinson, who was not going to play for us, and got a decent pick in return.

Quinn is truly upgrading this roster incrementally. He has overhauled and put competition in place at the OL, LB, DB, and TE positions. When Decker got hurt he immediately signed a couple guys to increase the chance that he'd have an adequate replacement. He has brought in plenty of DL help to push the level well beyond the likes of mediocre vets like Andre Fluellen. He has drafted two QBs in search of a cheap, competent backup for Stafford rather than leaning on a safe piece of garbage like Orlovsky.

Armanti Bryant is on this team and Tomlinson is out. Quinn wants the best roster by any means necessary. He will continue to add talent and remove non-performers.

Tomlinson was considered a very safe OG I wanted Miami to draft.

It's weird with the OGs. They look good playing at the highest level at college. They got the size, strength of the NFL OG. Not a skill like QB or WR. Yet some struggle way more than we think they should. OG's are typically considered the safest position to draft, as long as the tape and the physical numbers are checked.

I remember starting a thread to fire Mayhew immediately after drafting this scrub. Thank God Quinn got something in return for this turd.

Now a 2019 pick for Bademosi. It seems like Quin is trading for picks down the road so,he can get a higher pick. I doubt if it was a 2018 picks that the lions get a 5th for Tomlinson or a 6th for Bademosi.

I love that we got rid of his salary. Cutting him would have created dead money. $1.5 goes a long way signing somebody's cap causality.

Glad Bademosi is gone. He was a good special team guy, but if had to watch him be forced into action again, my TV and remote may not of made it.

Its a good sign for the secondary. Also, we dont need to keep guys who are ST only players.

With 3,952 posts, you could have started a thread to fire Mayhew with every draft pick the Lions have ever had. Come to think of it, maybe you have!
