Lions to look at Kickers after Akers miss and Martins Kickoffs

I think tpaul is right on the kickoffs, No way he pops it up like that on kickoffs twice. The coaches tried to get cute and pin on the kickoff. I remember Hanson doing that kick successfully, but they tried it after he lost the leg to boot it out of the endzone.

I don't buy it. Not until I hear it from a coach. Why wouldn't they just say that was what they were trying to do if it was the case ? What's the big secret ? Why leave a rookie to hang out to dry for a dumb call ? Makes no sense. Hanson couldn't reach the end zone. Martin doesn't have that problem. There's just no percentage in it.

What a load of garbage that was. What was their reasoning for buttfucking us again? It was a WorldFootball/NFL Europe rule? Garbage. The kid had never been part of a football team before. Would have been a great beneficiary of Psquad time. (I bet folks would have been somewhat interested back in his homeland too)

I don't they did not announced it yet. We probably wont find out until Tuesday.

Shwartz is still backing them though so I doubt anything will happen. Martin has great punting stats, but sucks at kickoffs and holding on FGs. And fake FGs, LOL.

Looks like they had 6 guys come in. Shayne Graham was the only one mentioned so my guess is the rest were not even as good as him. Needless to say we did not sign anyone.

Gould is set to be a free agent after this season, and it sounds like he's not too keen on staying in Chicago- sounds like the new management doesn't see eye-to-eye with him. I'd love to add him to the mix, and I'd imagine he'd love to finish his career in a dome. Plus, if he's pissed at the Bears what better way to show it than to join the enemy?

Draft a field goal kicker in a mid round. Set us up for the next 20 seasons. Kickers don't hit the market unless they are crazy or fading. You gotta grow your own.
