Liberty and UMass and Army the 3 independents and they could go after a couple of the the outlier teams from CUSA who has more teams than they need. maybe tried to bogart a couple others

well except for Army and Marshall I suppose. I was going off proximity. I suppose a few others like Middle Tennessee State, Memphis UConn could be targets too. just saying with the number of teams there are and a few more likely to move up soon another "group of" conference isn't out of the question. it wasn't that long ago there was 6

The school is flush with cash though so who knows.

I'm not sure how this one is going to turn out. They hired a loser football coach a few years ago, and now an AD with questionable ethics. And you're not likely to see any big name schools playing at their place unless it's mid- to lower-tier teams from the Big 12 or ACC (or maybe Big 10 bottom dwellers). Unless Liberty throws a lot of cash in the pot.

Hell the smaller conferences pretty much have already done that. Take a look at some of them now and see how many of the teams in their conference were FCS just 2-3 years ago. This is why the "Power 5" should pretty much have a title of its own and the smaller conferences a title of their own. These smaller programs are doing nothing but causing clutter.
