Brandon Jennings played overseas instead of going to college. That is what the Balls are doing.

This still gets me giggling. The Balls are ruthless!

Man, Lavar is single-handily trying to fuck the Lakers. This is awesome! He has to be an undercover spy from Boston, this can't be real life LMAO

Brandon Jennings and Mudiay played for 1million dollars.

These Dudes are playing for less than minimum wage.

This is a fucking tragedy.

Melo's face says it all.

This looks more like dread than excitement.

Jennings clearly had NBA talent leaving high school and chose to go overseas for 1 year before entering the NBA instead of doing 1-and-done in college. (I'm not making much comment on why his NBA career hasn't gone well -- I'd guess it would have been the same if he spent 1 year in college.)

The Ball boys' situation is completely different. One probably doesn't have NBA talent -- and the other one is really young.

Same with Mudiay.

Liangelo is not good at anything in particular.

He s destined for that semi-pros.

But, that's what bothers me so much about this situation.

We all know this. So, why is he sacrificing Lamelo's future prospects for a pipedream?

Even if the younger one plays well, he still can't get drafted for 2 more years.

Now, he can't even go to college.

LaVar Ball told ESPN that his sons LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball have signed with agent Harrison Gaines, ending any speculation that LaMelo will play college basketball. The plan is now for both to play on the same team overseas.

"I don't care about the money," LaVar Ball said on Thursday morning. "I want them to go somewhere where they will play them together on the court at the same time. The priority is for the boys to play on the same team."

:pound:

Why do I have a feeling, next month, LaVar Ball is going to try to sue UCLA for not letting LiAngelo back on their team?

I mean, what he said during the CNN interview, "He is a 4.0 student and has never been in trouble with the law."

Interesting news for sure, I've wondered if these kids are doing this on their own or because of their father. I suspect it's the latter.

Ummm.

They are on the Brandon Jennings plan.

The NBA is still very much in LaMelo's future. Lavar surely thinks he will get both there in a couple years. Liangelo literally has no shot unless someone takes him as a package deal or Henry's a lot better.

Thing is, Liangelo isn't going to get any court time overseas either unless he signs in a crap league. Melo won't get much either. At least not right away.

LiAngelo's best bet was to stay in school. I've seen multiple people say this, but he should've considered trying out for football given his body. His dad ruined him there.

Shit Jeremy Tyler signed after his Junior year to play in Israel for 140K. That was before we saw a recent boom in the uptick in European interest in basketball.

Ball brothers reportedly going to be making close to 4k.

...or, he should have taken the free education.

Or he could have transfered to another small D1 school. He'd likely get immediate playing time there and a chance to show what he can do. And get an education.

4K? That's it?

The average public school coaching stipend is more than that, and coaches get paid nothing.

How much is an education at UCLA worth ?

That as well. Going to school in Westwood, as well as it being UCLA.......man. But yeah, have fun in Lithuania, lol. What's lost in this is no one realizes that the most craziest shit happens in Eastern Europe. And you're trusting those two dopes to not do anything that would get them in trouble.
