Days after LeBron James was seen "fake drinking" a beer during a game, sales and inquiries for the Great Lakes Brewing Co. has intensified. In response James and his um, business associates issued a directive to GLBC that they cannot use the photo in any marketing/advertising materials or could be subject to a lawsuit.

Here is the thing, LERBRAWN gave them the best advertising money could buy all by himself. Secondly, when James skipped town and took his "talents" to Miami GLBC created a brew named QUITNESS.

Apparently the whore of Akron is still a little bitter about it.

They are lucky if he does not sue. Lebron makes 40+ Million in endorsements, and he gets that because the value of his brand is so high. Using his picture without consent is not only basically theft as his name and likeness cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, but it also runs the risk of hurting his marketing value. That leads to future lost income.

Whoever in the marketing department allowed that to go out left the company exposed to a lawsuit. This is not a Lebron thing, any celebrity would be opposed to this, it is common business sense.

Thats the issue. Nothing went out or was created. He ran up to a beer girl during a game and mimicked drinking the beer she was selling, which happened to be GLBC. Then after its all over the news and highlights, which was what HE was going for, his camp threatens the beer company. The irony is he gave them millions worth of endorsements for free, then bitches about it.

Actually, they used his image in a promotion they were running. Obvious no-no.

No the complaint is when they took a picture from that game and tweeted out about how much Lebron enjoys their beer.

The GOAT enjoying the GOLD, I think it was.

a. NBA players are not allowed to advertise for alcohol companies
b. This same company insulted James when he left having the "Quitness" beer (a wonderful vintage if i do remember).
c. Why would he let a business profit off his name and likeness without compensation?- Is he in this for the fun of it or to make money?

I mean- if i was Kevin Durant and they used my image to advertise a seminar where the Heimlich maneuver was taught without my permission and some compensation- i would get pretty upset....:noidea:

Try and make at least a half-assed attempt at responding mmmkay? Otherwise this post sucks

So, people trying to make money off you, without you seeing any profit is ok with you? Especially if it's the same company who made fun of you before? LOL.

Your trolling sucks man.
