I understand that they have to make these episodes as fucked up as possible since they take place in Davids head, but it just doesn't do anything for me.

I liked the little daddy teaser, though...
How are you liking the series overall?

For lack of a better term, I would say that the entity/monster living inside David is some type of demon....

.... Yikes!

Very creepy.
Most likely:

The Shadow King.

Lenny told David that s/he knew his father and that his father gave David up to keep him away from Lenny.

Assuming Xavier is, in fact, Davids father in the show, does that mean Xavier is aware of David? Was Lenny just talking BS? Did X give him up to protect himself, or to protect David?

In the comics, Gabriella Haller never told Xavier that she was pregnant.
Not sure what direction the show will take.

That was awesome.

I love crazy. Especially when it's extremely well done.

I still have no idea what exactly is going on, partly because I've been watching sporadically. Not a good idea for this show.

That said: even I can see that the monster is about to be let out of the box.

I'm gonna make it a point to binge watch this season.

You definitely can't look away but I don't think its all that complicated if you are following along. Heck, the chalkboard scene tonight basically just explained 90% of the show

Anyone know if MacAvoy is scheduled to make an appearance this season? The last two episodes have been dripping with foreshadowing.

I thought this episode was really strange (most of it), really creative (silent Bolero part), really explained things well (the fantastic chalkboard scene, Syd and Cary's conversation in the tube thing), and also moved the story along.

I think the whole series has been great, but thought last night's episode was the best.

Bye The Eye!

I think this episode was much easier to follow than the previous episode, and yet it still had a healthy serving of crazy.

And the Eye's demise was rather awesome.

Fantastic episode.

Two great summaries that captured what has happened so far.

As mentioned previously, pretty obvious foreshadowing with what appeard to be a wheelchair and an 'X' on the wheel. McAvoy? Stewart? I also liked the fact that the cartoon father figure had a particularly shaped dome. :clap2:

Aside from that, this show just isn't afraid to try things out.
There are certain scenes (like when David comes to realize he is in control) that are captured as if you are reading them right from the comic book. David even strikes a classic pose with eyes staring ahead and his hands positioned like he's going to war. Then you have the brightly colored lights behind his head. It's like the perfect visualization of a comic book.

Good stuff.

Are we really sure the Eye is gone for good? We don't even really know the extent of his power, and he was set up as some relentless baddie that we really didn't see fleshed out at all.

Well his body smashed in on itself in the "real world" so I'd assume he's dead

So that guy got third degree burns on the whole side of his face but somehow kept his hair?

But no, this show is the shit. Real damn good.

Great way to end the season. Season 2 should be a lot of fun. Can't wait.

BTW, if you haven't seen the season finale there's a VERY IMPORTANT post credit scene so keep watching past the white screen credits

Yup... everybody please keep watching the season finale after the credits featuring the white screen with green & purple rectangles. The final post-credits bonus scene is shocking and very important.
