Now, there's going to be speculation for days what Lebron said to Lonzo.
Both guys had nothing to say about it, dismissing it immediately.
Now of course it was innocent, but in all seriousness, what could it be?
According to Inside the NBA (TNT), this was the first time the two had ever met in person.
So let me use this as an opportunity to put a damper on this (likely) creating speculation on LeBron's next destination.
Why cover his mouth then?
From this video feed, you can actually hear a lot of what LeBron said to Lonzo. He's telling him to stay locked in and block out the noise, basically encouraging him.
Something he did say after the game: "I see all the stupid noise that happens. I can't buy a place in LA. I can't live in LA.... Its funny noise."
Like I've said along, LeBron doesn't know what he's doing next season. I really don't think he'll even think about it until after the season ends. So much of what happens between now and the end of June could change everything, so there's no point anyway. And for all of LeBron's faults - which are plenty - he's never been one to look past the immediate goal in front of him.
It’s not private anymore. There’s a transcript. It’s pretty boring but whatever.Sounds like they had a private conversation and nothing better. Maybe LeBron comes and maybe not - A few conversations and a little bit of encourage from LeBron to the young rookie does not mean he has his bags packed and is ready to move

Same with baseball players and mound visits. It’s a very common thing in sports.Players do that all the time so we can’t read their lips. It’s why football coaches cover their mouths when they call plays.
