Luke Walton handled it nicely - Complemented Lavar Ball and said Lavar was just trying to be a good parent, but with some excellent diplomacy said that they have to do what's best for the team and have it under control. The Lakers knew LaVar was an ass and would be trying to do that kind of crap from the beginning and already had a plan as to how to handle it.
