Interesting for TCU. They haven’t lost to a mid-major/Group of 5 since they were one themselves.

Lot of recent dates next to those PAC 12 teams, not good.

USC lost to Utah in the 2001 Las Vegas Bowl before the were a P5. Also Texas lost to BYU recently before they got their P5 designation. Utah's loss to Utah State is their only non-conference loss since joining the PAC.

Forgot to add that Alabama lost to Utah in the '09 Sugar Bowl before Utah was a P5 as well.

The BYU series was flat out embarrassing for Texas on every level imaginable, completely steamrolled. Got that Taysom Hill treatment. I think he ran for like six or seven TDs. In one of the games he ran for almost 300. What an athlete that guy is. Idaho kid too which makes me like him even more.

A few corrections to the list:

Power-5 is a rather recent designation that came about after the Big East (the former 6th power league) lost its BCS auto-bid after the last major round of conference re-shuffling. Therefore, West Virginia's 2010 loss to UConn was to their fellow Power-6 conference member. The Mountaineers last loss to a non-power team was on 9/6/2008, 3-24 at East Carolina.

TCU was not a P-5 member when they lost to SMU in 2011. But they were a member of a power conference during the days of the Bowl Coalition & Bowl Alliance 1992-1997. The Horned Frogs last loss as a power conference member to an non-power school was their 24-7 loss at New Mexico on 9/5/1992.

Some leagues consider BYU as a Power-5 team for scheduling purposes, but they are not considered a P-5 team by the CFP committee. Notre Dame is the only independent school with official P-5 status. And the Golden Domer's last non-power loss was to Navy, 27-28, at Jacksonville, FL, on 11/5/2016.

And, either way you cut it, the Texas Longhorns' last loss to a non-power team was to BYU. If you don't want to consider the 41-7 home loss to the Cougars on 9/16/2014 to be to a non-power team, then you have to go with the 47-6 road loss to the same school on 9/8/1988. The 1994 loss to Rice doesn't count because the Owls were a fellow SWC team back then when there were actually 7 power conferences (the SEC, ACC, Big East, Big 8, SWC, Big 10 & Pac-10).

And before they lost by 34 to BYU they got slapped by them the previous season by 20.

When Clemson lost to USF they were a Big East team as well.

The last true non-power conference loss was to TCU in 2009 when they were still a Mountain West member.

Ga Southern was a 1-AA when they beat Florida in 2013. I guess
that should count. It's the only time in history that a 1-AA beat a
Power 5 team, when not completing a forward pass. To make matters worst. The only reason they didn't complete a forward
pass was because they didn't even attempt one.

There was no need. They ran thru them, around them and over them
all afternoon.

The number is impressive for Houston, especially when you consider how limited the opportunities are to play Power 5 opponents for a Group of 5. They can pretty much thank Tom Herman for it. That guy really kicked some Power 5 ass during his time there. Then he’d follow those victories up with some head scratchers to teams they had no business losing to, very odd.

Looks like Ohio State went the longest. 1990. Also, that was a bowl game.
