Mmmmm hmmmmmm.

Cap numbers are just numbers.
You do this, you do that and
Wallah, a totally different cap number.

Slight risk on the Eagles' part, as Johnson is one bad supplement away from a two-year ban. I like the guy, and I hope he keeps playing like he did last season. Just wish he wasn't so dumb with his supplements.

Report: Zach Ertz restructures contract to help Eagles gain even more cap space

I think now they keep Kendricks and release Curry. Unless they get a good draft pick in trade for Kendricks, but no need to get rid of the depth Kendricks gives us at LB.

This is a good point. Kendricks still gives depth. But I still think they move Kendricks if someone wants to give a pick. Perhaps they don’t out and cut him now, but I still think they are ready to move on.

Regardless of how loose he plays it Howie respects the cap as a real thing. Next year will be tight too. Not to mention guys need to be extended. I just think it comes down to the 4M of Kendricks cap begs to be spent elsewhere.

Not to mention there are still solid rumors they are trying to get Curry to stay at a lower number. We could still see Curry stay and Kendricks get cut.

I think Howie has shored up the basics, assuming we land Ngata. But I think predicting what he might do next is going to be tough. I suspect he makes a big trade we can't even imagine right now.
