Good for him. Not a fan of his, but Ole Miss/Freeze have been ragging on him since the stench of recruiting violations started wafting through the land. Blame it all on Nutt they did.

I think Nutt will likely win the case, since Ole Miss did basically try to throw him under the bus with all this stuff. From the 1st notice of allegations they have tried to claim that the football stuff wasn't under Freeze, it was all Nutt. And that has basically been false.

These no talk clauses work both ways and it's pretty common, so Ole Miss should have known better. It was an official type response too, it's not like Ole Miss just "slipped". They seriously tried to pass off the responsibility to Nutt publicly.

Ole Miss has basically fucked this thing up in every way possible.

Ole Miss will settle the case for an undisclosed amount. No way they risk Freeze and other Ole Miss employees being deposed. That would be a disaster for them as the opposing counsel could ask anything they wanted to about recruiting and extra benefits.

Sure, that's why you bring this suit. You know the school can't afford to let this thing reach trial. They just can't.

Hard to prove Nutt has been denied a job because of any of their claims and you need more than just 'it probably did' to win such a thing, but ole miss can't take the pub and have this thing reach court.

Nutt will get another payday and the school will shut their traps about anything related to him publicly from now on.

Dont think Nutt was denied a job because of it, but just think it was shitty they way a Bible thumping cheater treated him (with of course the Ole Miss AD brain trust in tow).

Dont really know much about it-any Ole Miss folks can surely shoot my opinion down and I wont know better. But just as someone from afar has watched and read about this, that's how I see it. I'm always suspicious of a person who's always telling everybody about how religious/devout they are. That's something that's seen by actions, not self-proclamations.

Nutt is refiling his lawsuit against ole miss after the first attempt was thrown out

Nutt has refiled his lawsuit against Ole Miss, the athletic foundation, and the IHL Board of Trustees in a county court as he attempts to fight a legal battle against his former employer. Nutt previously had a lawsuit tossed out of a federal court, but he was eligible to re-file the lawsuit in a county court in the state of Mississippi. The case made by Nutt remains the same in that he claims Ole Miss committed a breach of contract and he is seeking punitive damages.

Nutt claims his successor, and now former Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze, conducted a misinformation campaign against Nutt in response to a NCAA investigation. Nutt believes Freeze and Ole Miss attempted to shift blame and responsibility for alleged violations of NCAA rules on Nutt. In response to those allegations, Nutt filed a complaint that led to a thorough investigation of Freeze’s phone records. Reviewing those records ultimately led to a much different resolution for Ole Miss once it was discovered Freeze had been using his phone to call an escort service while on recruiting trips.

Sounds like in the new case that Nutt has dropped his monetary demands and is asking only for an apology. Ole Miss should delay until the NCAA rules on their case then issue sone type of half ass apology after that.

I wouldn't do anything until that ruling.
