At least we have a Vet DC who can get the best out of our D. Will he run a 3-4? If he does, we better start adding LBS :L

Our defense will be great, I'm not worried about anything when it comes to Wade Phillips, he knows what he is doing.

"Sean McVay, who turns 31 on Jan. 24, becomes the youngest head coach in NFL history, Rams fell in love with him, so much that they didn't even bother to sit with Kyle Shanahan, the coveted Falcons offensive coordinator. It's a big leap of faith by the Rams, but McVay came highly recommended, particularly from Jon Gruden."

Has Norv been hired anywhere yet? Couldn't hurt to have him come in as the offensive coordinator.

I don't think it's worth the money he would cost. The point in hiring McVay was for his offensive mind; he just needs a positional coach to elevate to OC that can handle his system.

I disagree and definitely think it'll be worth it. Let someone with experience help take care of the offense and that way you can focus more on the team as a whole.

So we arguably have the best Defensive Coordinator and Special Teams coach and a whiz kid offensive coordinator, coaching should no longer be the biggest problem. We have talented players, but you look at this team and you undisciplined players, players that lack certain fundamentals. Jared Goff get clean exchanges from the center, or allowing his balls to get too often tipped. Or guys on the offensive line not maintaining a block or moving before the ball. Or Gurley not having the patience to hit the hole when it forms, like Saffold said, also not knowing the plays. I wish Marshall Faulk would take Gurley aside and teach him some things, not only did Faulk know his assignment on every play but his teammates as well. Gurley has a chance to be a leader on this team like Faulk was, and he is not taking the opportunity. Dropping passes, way too many. Those are just some of the many examples of lack of discipline and lack of fundamentals, those little breakdowns add up to a lot of loss plays which add up to a lot of losses.

It would be wise for McVay to hire Marshall Faulk or even ED to coach the running backs. He might add Torry Holt to coach the receivers. Then add Kurt Warner to coach the QBs.

McVay, can save the money on hiring a OC, he will be calling the plays and I say good, that is why we hired him.

Sean is a solid play caller and knows how to attack a defense. The only concern you MAY have to worry about is the run. That was one of The Skins biggest problems on offense. I say may because it might have been more Gruden's doing, who has neglected the run since his days in Cincy.

That being said, I'm sure in two maybe three seasons, at the most, he will have the offense into a yard rolling juggernaut.

:agree:! .......Me too Snake Eyes...

The problem isn't Gurley. The problem is he is a downhill runner. Him taking a handoff from a QB in the shotgun is not his game.
