UK has a ton of talent. I just don't think they play as a team yet a la Syracuse and Arizona.

Louisville is playing sloppy right now. Forcing too much.

Hell, KY looks like a Big East team right now. Let's adjust - D up & create a few TOs & play Louisville basketball. F this half court shit.

UK will close this out. RS having trouble at the stripe and missed a couple big buckets.

Well, Kentucky impressed me a little bit, at home, but Louisville clearly didn't play their best.

Imo, ky now knows they can play with the big boys. Thisis a big win that just might move them to the nc level teama.

Not trying to troll, but could it be possible that UK's defense was the reason Louisville didn't play their best?

Also UK did a decent job controlling the boards tonight, so that might have limited Louisville on their second chance shots. Just a couple of points aimed at giving UK some credit for the win.

In part, but Louisville shooting 6-26 from downtown isn't necessarily indicative of KY playing stronger in the paint. Russ Smith shot 0-5 from behind the arc and 5-10 from the stripe. He did his best work driving to the hoop. If he shoots his season averages then it's a different game. Louisville really didn't look that great but I think Kentucky played one of their better games this season.

Sometimes when you can't penetrate to the hoop with any consistency, you tend to back off and just jack up the threes from long range and hope they go in.

UK's guards were bigger than UL's; so that forced UL to shoot from either a longer distance out.... or to use screens until they got free.....which took more time, turned each possession into a half-court game, and slowed down UL's fast paced pressure game on defense. This all favored UK and I thought was a good game plan by Cal. Hey it worked.

Good luck to Mich. this year! Give Izzo something to think about.
