No.

But that isn't the point.

You tired to end the thread by bringing up Kobe's 81. Harden's best career game is arguably better than Kobe's best. His best is season is definitely better than Kobe's best from an offensive statsistical standpoint.

You have yet to make a legit case for your boy. A 2 word answer is not a good response. Advance stats are on Harden's side.

Lol, so you think Harden is a better offensive player than Kobe?

Let's include Magic and Stockton in this then

Sure. Let's include Magic and Stockton in a debate about who is better between Harden and Kobe. That makes sense.

Lol, so you think Harden is a better player than Kobe?

Holy shit you are dense.

How many times do I have to say the exact opposite. Have you actually read any of my posts?

I have literally said it 6 times.

Harden is better OFFENSIVELY. Not overall. Not even close.

Man are you triggered or what. I forgot the word 'offensively' in my post and edited it literally 30 seconds later.

How about you get your panties out of that twist and calm the fuck down.

I was never a Kobe fan but to be honest this thread is blasphemous to what he accomplished. Not in the same hemisphere yet, not close.

Of course Kobe is a better player. Nobody is saying otherwise.

Offense only. Harden is the better offensive player.
Not really - Kobe has closed out more games then Harden has in championship games and playoffs - Harden hasn't even made It to the conference finals on his own yet. I think you have to wait and see how Harden finishes his career - granted right now Harden has a career average of 30 pts 5.4 rpg and 8.8 apg to Kobe's 25 pts 5.2 rpg and 4.7 apg - But Kobe was called upon to take a lot of impossible shots and none of these guys in the NBA has taken as many difficult shots. I do like Harden's game and as a result his FG% is higher. The one thing I never liked about Kobe is he took too many shots - the Lakers won more games when Kobe kept his field goals under 25

Kind of an important word.

Yes, clearly I do think that.

Kobe for defense. Not sure about offense. They're both brainless volume chuckers with questionable shot selection and FG percentages.

I think you can make the case both hurt their team in some ways. They could be smarter on offense and could have see/seen more success than they did.

Kobe played with some of the best Frontcourts of ALL time and the most dominant BIG ever in Shaq for quite a few seasons. 5 ships is kind of an underachievement. I mean he had the GOAT coach and at least 10 great teams or more.

Need to see what Harden does the next few years though. He still not even halfway through his prime.

So far Harden has one finals under his belt and he was a DUD. Makes you think he was on the Heat's payroll. ROFLMAO. We'll see what he does against GS

Saying Harden is a better offensive player is not a knock on Kobe. Kobe is an alltime great. Harden is not on that level because he doesn't defend.

But offensively? I would love to see somebody make an objective argument for Kobe here.

-Harden has a higher career PER. His best season has a PER of 29.8 compared to Kobe's best of 28.0.
-Harden has posted over 10 offensive win shares each of the last 5 seasons, while Kobe only posted 3 such seasons over the course of his career.
-Kobe's career best true shooting percentage is .580. Harden has had 1 season in his entire career lower than .598.
-Kobe had had 3 seasons over 6 assists per game with a career best of 6.3. Harden has been over 7 assists a game the last 4 years, with a career best of 11.2.

Like I said, the numbers aren't all that close. If you have 1 possession with the game on the line, I take Kobe. But for the other 47 minutes it is Harden. Offensively at least.

Literally None of those things measure Kobe's offense. They are reflective of Kobe's greatness overall.

k. the original premise was "who's the better player?" that encompasses offense AND.AND...AND...and defense. again, it's not close. harden not on kobe's level, and harden DAMN sure isn't the leader that kobe was.
Well had to back track to offensively speaking - He was getting owned

In fact - I think what made Kobe better is that he was less of a ball hog then Harden is now - that goes to a better offense - it takes a smart player to know that.
