2. I don't think Michigan realistically has a shot at a national title this year. If this were a discussion about the B10 title, I'd have a different opinion.

Herbstreit puts out a weak list. Little thought.

Herbstreit is very good at putting his affiliation to OSU to the side when talking about CFB. UM isn't in the conversation because they will be starting anywhere from 10-15 freshman or sophomore this year.

They shouldn't be in the conversation, that is why they aren't.

at this point I think UM fans are less likely to critique Herbie than OSU fans are.

Rarely are the pre-season top four teams truly the best 4 teams. I think with a top 8 you're more likely to capture the best 4 teams in the country....though I guess you could say the same thing about a top 25 ranking....but you get my point I think.

And while UM has had top 5 classes, they are nowhere near what Bama has brought in and the depth they have on the team
