Its too bad he never won a belt in the UFC.

I thought he had already retired. Oh well. I always enjoyed watching his fights. He was amongst some of my favorites. It just stinks he was always the bridesmaid. Always good enough to stay at the top of his weightclass yet never good enough to actually hold onto some gold.

I think he took some time off for injuries and was doing some analyst work for the UFC. I guess this is him officially retiring.

UFC is really losing all the big names that made me fall in love with the sport 6 or 7 years ago, I just can't seem to get into it as much as I did before...

I believe I heard the same. For a rather unassuming guy, he had some mean ass elbows.
