Made my day.....

I had to work and attended a funeral

That's a lousy day. I honestly forgot that the announcement was coming tonight, so it was a nice surprise to read it online.

It's about damn time! He has always been my favorite player to have ever played for the Seahawks!

This is just unreal news. Easley was my guy as a kid growing up in the 70s/80s. I was 10 when he was a rookie and idolized that dude. I had the Enforcer poster prominently displayed in my room. I wore #45 in freshman football. I can't love this news enough. SB weekend just got a shit ton better for this Hawks fan.

The way I recall it is Kenny could hit like Kam, but was better in pass defense. He would have fit right in with the LOB when playing at their best.

Hit like Kam had the range of Earl Thomas and the cover ability of Sherman. Yeah he is a HoF'er and rightfully so.

85-87 we had Eugene Robinson and Kenny Easley as our safeties, in my eyes every bit as good as Kam And Earl for a Safety duo. Some of those defenses in the 80's were down right nasty for the Hawks. If it wasn't for the amount of Turnovers those 80's Seahawks offense committed i have no doubt their PPG would have dropped.

Like a few of you have said, the physical toughness and hitting of Kam with range like ET. That's how I've described him to my son, who of course is way too young to have seen anything but a couple youtube videos that don't really do it justice. It always bugs me when someone gushes over Ronnie Lott because I think Easley was just as good but wasn't so fortunate to play as long or for a darling franchise.

That's one thing that get's overlooked when KE is discussed... He was very good in pass defense...

Fucking fantastic. Just watched the replay of the video where all come out.

Also glad to see Kurt Warner get in. Tomlinson/Anderson was zero surprise. Jones bleh (don't get why OWNERS should be in the HOF), Davis/Taylor... okay.... sure.

Yeah, he could play CF for sure. Led the league in picks in 1984 with 10, which is nuts for a SS.

Although everyone here would love to see that happen, I'm just not quite sure he should be in the HOF personally...

I think he belongs. He lacks the stats but he was the best back for several years and has memorable moments.

Peterson will make it based on stats, but i dont feel like he had the impact marshawn did.

I think Lynch is pretty borderline, but I agree TD making it in (who I also think was borderline) helps his argument.

For sure... If TD makes it, he definitely sets a precedent... I for one, don't believe TD should be in the HOF...

there are stats guys, like curtis martin, and there are impact guys like davis.

i think if we won the 2nd SB and lynch was MVP, he would be almost a certain lock for HoF. He would have had the greatest impact as a RB during his career. without the 2nd SB, not so certain

Well, Jerry Jones was a monster in that one game. Wasn't sure if it was college or pro but he had mucho sacks.
Lotsa cred to jerrah.
