That's as good of a guess as any. Either that or his extension demands are unreasonable. His play is very solid and has improved each year ... I highly doubt production is the issue.

Chip repeated to reporters again how he missed four games. I think Chip is basically calling him soft.

We had a lot of injuries at ILB last year and we have a lot of injuries at the position going into the season. It makes a lot of sense to add one. I hope we come out of training camp with 4 good healthy players there.

Prior to last season he had started 29 out of a possible 30 games and played in all 30 of 30 ... so he got hurt for 3 games last season??? Players get hurt ... it's a tuff sport. Production wise, Kendricks had already matched his prior season sack total and would have surpassed his tackle #'s should he have played the extra 3 games.

My pessimistic vibe is Kendricks is a goner in the near future. Maybe during camps if some team loses their ILB. Possibly in the early part of the season before the trade deadline as well. Really hoping he sticks with us for at least another year so he can blow up and prove the doubters wrong.

Its subtle to those of outside the building, but you can see a few signs of him, not really being a bad guy, but also he just doesn't seem to be the its all about football sort of dude that Chip covets. Historically, Chip has started these guys as a coach, but when the opportunity to move on presents itself, Kelly is more than happy to move on. Dating starlets, grabbing your crotch, hanging with DJAX...not bad things, but it won't get you a second contract from GM Kelly. But Coach Kelly will use you while your on the team.
