Looks like Pete is considering 1 of these guy's as a back-up .... I would be happier with Kaep, he has more playoff experience and has played on the big stage more, definitely a good back-up, probably the best back-up you could have in the league...

I think he is considering them along with others.

I'm fine with either at the right price.

Pete was asked if he was considering these two and he answered that they are looking at everyone. That's not actually saying they are considering it. As for Kaep :puke:he sucks.

Well right, he left it open, BUT he did bring up both names... I would still take Kaep as a back-up though, just simply because he has the experience behind him... Most back-ups aren't that good anyway...

Pete brought their names up? Thought the media were the ones to bring up the names.

I think that was the case, but it's pretty clear he's open to it .. Kaep hasn't found a home yet, which is kinda crazy when you look around the league at some of these starting QB's ... Totally wouldn't surprise me if Pete invited him or RG3 in ...

Just listened to the Brock and Salk show with Pete (where this rumor started). Took until the very end before it came up, I got to tell you it didn't sound like Pete thought it would happen. Mostly gave the usual coach speak "we look at everyone" then going on to mention the cap, dealing with the cap . He didn't bring the names up or sound excited about the idea.

I would have to choose Kap for the simple reason he's been mostly healthy his entire career. RG3 is damaged goods, too many injuries.

No to both. Having a expensive back up isn't a great idea IMO, much prefer the Seahawks developed a back up.

On that note, rumor had it the Seahawks were considering drafting Patrick Mahomes if he was still available when their pick came up. Don't know if that is what they would of done, but I think they like the idea of grooming a backup QB from the draft.

Neither would come expensive since the QB market has dried up. I don't want either one but if I had to choose it would be Kap just because he's been mainly healthy. Fact is if both are QBing for an extended period of time or any other back up, our season is probably going to be in the toilet.

Vets make more, it's in the contract. Honestly I'd prefer RG3, despite his tendency to get injured, but rather see the Seahawks just develop a backup.

I have no problem developing a back up as long as he stays out of trouble.

I really hope the FO doesn't force me into having to somewhat root for Kaepernick. But that's not to say I would rather have RG3 on this team. I think I would rather see them coax Matt out of retirement for a year, even at 40+.
