Georgia Tech may also be a player for Devoe, but I'm not sure on that.

Woot woot.

With Houston getting one too, that's three four star players committing to the AAC in the last week or so (UConn, Houston and now Cincy).

Good look for the conference.

And with Broome + Evans having one more year and if somehow Clark comes back for a 5th year, UC is instant national championship contenders.

Gotta keep an eye on Wichita State too. They're already top 5 good.

yeah, while a weird fit cause of why the BE broke up in the first place, it does help the profile of the conference in basketball.

Told ya not to worry about that one. :)

Over the weekend on OGBoards, a couple of posters who have sources on the inner Winston-Salem basketball scene said that Mucius has been in the bag for Wake for quite some time now.

Wake's class is up to #5 on Scout and #9 on Rivals. Its not going to stay that high as other high major schools start to get more commits, but its nice to see for now.

Hoping Wake will be able to finish this recruiting cycle off with either Devoe or Ayo.

I miss Wake being good.

Big Eric Williams was one of my favorite college players of the 2000s.

haha, me too. Josh Howard was my favorite of the 2000s. Local kid that had an absolute dominant senior year. Round of 32 loss in the NCAA Tournament that year to Auburn was a bigger heart breaker to me than the 2005 loss to WVU.

Thinking good times might be coming for the Deacs again:

2015 class has turned out to be pretty good. John Collins was a 1st round pick, Crawford averaged 16+ PPG, 5.5 APG as a sophomore, Keyshawn Woods averaged 12.5 PPG/4 RPG/3.5 APG as a Soph. This upcoming season is put up or shut up time for Doral Moore.

2016 was lacking on paper, but I think Brandon Childress is going to turn out to be a very good 6th man for the next couple of years. Sam Japhet-Mathias (whom was a consensus 4* before he re-classified to 2016 and moved back to his home country of England for his Sr year of HS. After that happened, everyone downgraded him with the exception of Rivals) has the potential to develop into a good post player. Donovan Mitchell and Rich Washington are probably going to transfer.

2017 looks to be a good class on paper. Rivals ranked it as the #29 class. Highlighted by top 30 signee in Chaundee Brown and 4* big man from France, Olivier Sarr. Melo Eggleston looks like a high ceiling/low floor type of guy, just depends on how hard he's willing to work and if the staff can properly develop him.

2018 is good on paper as well. 5* Jaylen Hoard, Isaiah Mucius is a Top 100 player and Sharone Wright appears to be another high ceiling/low floor player. Cashing in on one of their top PG targets would be ideal.

I think they're going to be a bubble team this year, with a chance at having a breakout season in 2018/19.

Florida is putting the full court pressure on 5* Devon Dotson. Looks like Dotson will decide between the Gators and the Jayhawks.

4* PG Mike Devoe will announce his decision on Saturday. Seems like his final two are Wake and GT.

Looks like Devoe is going to announce for GT on Saturday. Sucks, but eh, it is what it is. Wake got involved relatively late here. Wake isn't going to get Ayo, either.

Striking out on Devoe and Ayo will end up being pretty irrelevant if Bryant Crawford comes back for his senior season.

Not sounding optimistic for UConn on Jalen Carey either.

Although getting Emmit Matthews, who is probably going to be a late rising 4* would help out alot. REally probably need a guy like him more than a Carey (positional/size wise) anyway.

Probably the top source on the uconn board just said we're out on Carey.

Guess it's all in on Matthews.

Syracuse fans seem pretty confident on Carey.

they're the only team lying to him about him being a true PG.

Sounds like Rodney Purvis. He thought he was a PG, but in reality, he's a SG. That's a major reason why he transferred from State.

The same guy that said Mucius was in the bag in Wake, is saying the same thing about 2019 PG Anthony Harris. Its early, but Harris is a consensus 4*. As we all know with recruiting rankings, that could fluctuate in a major way before the final 2019 class rankings are released. Landing a PG in 2019 makes more sense than landing a PG in 2018, since we still have Crawford and Childress. Staff knows more than me though, and they went after 2 top PG's in 2018. Even though, they did get involved relatively late in the process.

Yeah, the more i read about Carey the more he sounds like Purvis.

hope he follows that career path. :)
