This time Kapler did the right thing, Cobb was dealing, 6 innings, 0 runs, 7 Ks, no walks, only 88 pitches...but only a 2 run lead so rather than risk it 3rd/4th time through the lineup, he goes to the best pen in baseball.

And when I say that I'm really focusing on the 7-8-9 combo. Taylor, Tyler, and Camilo

Thank goodness they avoided getting swept, but only 24 runs scored in the last 10 games (3-7). The injuries and travel schedule have caught up with the team. Still have a chance to finish 4-2 on this homestand, but will take 3-3.

The 11-game road trip coming out of the break will be tough. Hopefully, they can go 5-6 at worst.

Good news is the 4 teams on the road trip aren't all great. Pittsburgh is ok nothing special, Cincinatti is good but not great, Washington and Detroit are bad. Feels like we can shoot for 7-4 and see what happens. A few guys might be healthier by then.

Hopefully we take 2 or more from Colorado to feel good heading into the break
