I think going against DeSean Jackson every day in training camp is going to help prepare him when he covers Antonio Brown week 1 on Monday night.

Certainly facing better practice competition than anything he saw in Carolina

Pretty bold stuff from Josh in this interview. It's all good, until it isn't. Hope he lives up to his own estimation or its gonna be a rough ride for him. Gotta accept he's an outspoken guy but I'd rather he just played the game.

Probably could. And now we know he thinks very little of Sam Bradford (like most people).

He really sounds like Asante Samuel part II: a guy on a winning team who signed a big contract and now is going to another (less successful) winning team in which he will have to prove himself worthy of said big contract. Samuel responded to the challenge of going from the Patriots to the Eagles with ample talk and a good number of interceptions but little tackling of physicality. We'll see what Norman does.

I don't really see anything wrong w/ his comments. It is all part of who he is. I have no issue w/him talking in this matter. I only care whether he performs or not - we will see.

they were discussing Normans outspoken-ness on the the radio ... i forget which show ... but they had some valid points

basically what they were saying is that GM SM personality is outspoken, Gruden personality is outspoken & their roster is going to reflect their personalities which sounds about right.

It's not cocky if you back it up

Redskins @ 10! Reaction to Josh Norman's comments in ESPN the Magazine about Roger Goodell and more! Is it OK for Josh Norman to be so outspoken and have all of the focus on himself being the new guy in town? Plus, who could forget about Rex Ryan's Foot Fetish? (Date Added: 8/23/16)

Nothing like painting a target on your back in the media or the NFL. These comments are always going to be referenced in the future.

Guess it works if your play backs it up. But IMO, it still makes you look arrogant regardless.

Others may like an outspoken player that delivers sound bites with every interview...I've seen that here in DC and I'd rather SEE than HEAR about excellence...every time.

i think he is fascinating.

I mean, who travels to Paris to watch a soccer game ? lol

this seems appropriate :headbanger:

I cant wait to see him on the field & hope he lives up to the hype. I honestly havent seen enough to know if he is worth the salary, but keeping my fingers crossed.

Sure, he is putting a target on his back.

But some of the greatest athletes in history thrive on that attention & pressure.
