Any chance he breaks Driver's reception record for the franchise?

He needs 246 to tie. Missing that year due to the ACL injury hurts his chances but if he plays four more season and averages 62 per year he will get there. I give him no chance to catch Hutson in TDs catches but he is only 36 shy of that one too.

I like his chances.

And man, it sucks that Sharpe got hurt. He'd be an NFL HOFer with another couple seasons with those numbers.

I agree that Sharpe was a fantastic player. I don't think I've seen a player quite like him...I believe Favre wouldn't have had the early success he did without him.

Jordy is #2 in receiving TD's since 2011 despite missing an entire season. I have no doubt he will break the Hutson record in 4 years or less and DD's record in three years or less if he doesn't get injured. Dude can play for another 5-6 years and start breaking all time records soon. He's easily the best white receiver ever when it's all said and done.

Nelson strikes me as the kind of guy who will stick around a long time. I say yes.

Even if it's only three seasons. He'll just need 82.333 receptions per season. That's more than realistic if he even maintains close to this level of play.

I'd still go with Steve Largent. And it was tougher back then with less passing stats to go around. Jordy has a elite QB in a passing NFL, not knocking him for that. He would be a part of the conversation of best white WR ever.

Jordy proved he can dominate even without Rodgers. Statistically Largent will probably have a better career due to starting early with less competition at the WR spot on his team and rarely getting injured. However, if I were to select the best player to play one game it would be Jordy but for a career it would be Steve at the moment unless Jordy posts even better numbers over the next few years or so to bring him to 10k yards, 100+ TD's and over 1,000 receptions.

Don Hutson was white.
