Former hockey player John Madden? Guy was good as a defensive minded player in hockey but not sure he'd be any good as a college football coach. Jon Gruden, on the other hand.

I know people for the past 10 years have been wanting Gruden as their guy but I don't get it. He has a .540 win percentage as a head coach. He has a superbowl win but other than that he's been pretty average as a coach. So I don't get the desire to have him as a coach. I'd much rather go after an up and coming coordinator than some guy who's been working in TV for the past 10 years and is almost retirement age.
