If we were him, why go to another offensive scheme anyway? He's knows he'll excel right here, so why chase a little bit more money? He already knows he's comfortable in the locker room, and no reason this team can't keep improving.
I'd think his "legacy" is a big factor for him to, being he's been on the bench prior? He can "catch up" right now knowing he can get 300 yards a game.
We fans are ok drafting O-linemen high up, if that is how we go. No doubt we have to reduce hits on Jimmy G, and "protecting" him includes a better run game.
The great thing is, SF still has some $80+ million to dole out to FA, to resign guys, etc. etc. In a couple of years, given that JG obviously pans out, this contract will be a bargain.
Yep, first see if we can extend our own? If they don't want to, fine.
Next, in free agency we would need to sign a starting level CB. Doesn't need to be the top rated CB, but someone who'll start. We should also sign an OT, again, doesn't need to be the top OT. Other than these two, don't see us going after top free agents.
Not mentioning LEO simply because i don't think Ansah is it?
Yep.Lynch sounded like they will be agressive and active in the free agent period...but that they will be smart about it. Obviously another product of the JG contract is that there will be guys who'll want to go to SF and play alongside him.
