There is lots of reports circulating that the Seahawks are trying to get Jim Zorn to be their next QB coach. A very experienced coach. Jim as a player was a scrambling QB and it sure looks like he would be an awesome fit to coach Wilson. I really like the idea of bringing Zorn back

Zorn been out of coaching since 2012. That can't be good. So IDK about making him QB coach.

Would he try to make Rusty throw left handed?

I'm not sure how much that matters for a positional coach.
Why is that ? I like Zorn and so open to the idea, but is he actually qualified for the job? My heart says sure, my mind says not really.

Well this is his 3rd stint as a QB coach.

I always liked Zorn. Turned Hasselbeck into a very good QB, but he also failed with Matt Cassel, Brady Quinn and Tyler Palko (though to be fair, who didn't?)

Zorn would bring value. I think he helped Matt H a lot, and I'm confident he could do the same for RW. Zorn is probably one of the few guys who sees the position from the eyes of a scrambler like Russell. He would be tough and demanding as well, which apparently is what the "insiders" think Russell needs to make that next jump.

That's the main reason why I like this move if it happens. Zorn can relate to Russell as a quarterback in a way that a lot of other potential QB coach candidates could have. Hell, he might even be able to refine Wilson's scrambling and pocket presence if Solari can do something about the offensive line to convince Russell that he's not gonna get killed if he stays in the pocket for more than a few seconds. I think the relationship between Zorn and Solari will be just as important as the relationship between Russell and his linemen.

So is Seattle trying to assemble the worst coaching staff (outside of the HC) of all time, or what?

So are you saying that because you don't like the idea of Zorn as QB coach or because the latest news suggests they've decided on someone else?

I don't like the idea of Zorn, nor do I like the idea of Norton Jr. or Schottenheimer.

Hopefully these guys will make me eat my words...

Curious to see how we do... I sill believe he was part of the problem with the struggling offense... He doesn't get a free pass in my book...
