Officiating in the NFL the last five years or so has been absolutely brutal. Triplette was probably the worst of the bunch, but there is still a huge problem with the consistency of how certain penalties are called. And not just consistency from crew to crew. I'm talking consistency of calls within the same game. And beyond that, the worst crews really do look clueless out there sometimes with some not seeming to know all the rules. It really is inexcusable

What's funny is we really shouldn't even know the names of the officials. I couldn't name you a good one, because the good ones go unnoticed. I can however rattle off a list of 4-5 terrible crews that I do remember. It's important to know that the game you're watching is going to be a shit show before it starts.
