Jags New Uniforms

I'm ready to see the new Jags uniforms! They gotta be better than the current set. I'm hoping for more teal, all black helmet and more simplicity.

The Jaguars jerseys last year just tried to do WAY too much. It's like someone told a little kid to make sure he used as much gold, teal, black, and white as possible.

IMO to fix:
Fix the jersey/pants colors... the primary colors of the Jags logo is gold/white/teal, not black, so stop putting so much black in there. All black (pants/jersey) is just overwhelming IMO and doesn't fit the logo. The only team that really pulled it off is the Saints but they only have 3 colors. Black, gold, white - all which compliment well (teal, gold, white, black is weird - you have 4 colors instead of 3). All teal and all gold would just look retarded so you're out of options, they just aren't the right colors for a full jersey and few if any are. Seattle has the dark blue as a big part of their logo and the Saints have black as a big part of their logo, so it makes more sense... The Jags have black spots on the Jaguars... the main features are teal/gold/white, not black.

Then, DITCH that stupid two tone helmet (prob. the dumbest thing). It looks like someone got tired of painting it all the way or again a kid was like, "More colors!" Make the helmet all black or all teal (gold will clash with the logo like it does now). Incorporate teal on the jerseys or with some gold/teal on the pants, just don't make it a HUGE stripe. Lastly, ditch the stupid sleeves being a completely different color. Seattle actually got that right on their default jerseys by having a different color PATCH (neon green), but the entire sleeve isn't different and the white is accented across the torso and sleeve. It just clashes and again does too much. Add some gold/white stripes to it or something, but don't make it a different solid color.

And then JUST have gold on 1) outlining the #s, and 2) the logo itself. That's it. Don't splash gold all over the place, it looks like Goldmember jerked off on the uniform.



The old unis looked great and it's not like they are 50 years old... they're like 20 years old. Flair it up a bit and do the matte black helmet and call it a day.

They're pretty new but they've already been around 5 years...which is the minimum required for getting new unis. They're obviously in a hurry for new ones and rightfully so!

if that is real, they went very basic and I like it. If they go with a matte black helmet, it would be fine with me.

rumors I had heard were that they were ditching the gold.

I liked the gold, it added some more pop.

Yeah, that's about as long as the apparel companies can stand it. Most everyone who wants a current jersey probably already has one, gotta get an update out.

if what is leaked is true, it looks like they are going for a raiders look...minus the leg stripes.

way to basic if you ask me, but it is an improvement over what they had.

That's another great point I didn't think of. Seattle's all blue, at least it's fairly cold up there post September. And New Orleans is a temp regulated dome with no sun obviously.

I am confused by the examples you gave. What does blue in Seattle or gold helmets in NO have to do with anything?

the Dolphins are also supposed to be unveiling a tweek to their uniforms today as well. Won't be as big as this change, but they should have a press release or something at some point.
