It all boils down to the Vandy game

We aren't beating Auburn and Kentucky should be an easy win for us. As such, it call comes down to the Vandy game and that has me nervous. We cannot afford to get behind or to let them in the game. It sounds funny, but we cannot sleep on Vandy at all.

Getting to a Bowl will make Jones' first year a success and it will solidify our recruiting class. We have an amazing class at this point. However, not getting to a Bowl for the 3 straight year will give other schools plenty of ammo in their attempts to flip our recruits. Some of our recruits are already Vols for Life. That being said, there is a lot of time between the end of the season and Signing Day. We will need each and every recruit to sign as our team has zero depth. This will be the most important recruiting class in the past 10 years for the this team.

Jones has done the best job he can but the season will literally come down to the Vandy game. I hope Dobbs is ready and I hope the Seniors play their hearts out.

Sorry, last thought here. We should do ourselves a favor a get out of the Oklahoma series. This team is clearly not ready to play 7 ranked teams each year. The Oregon game did nothing to help this team. Getting our doors blown off by OU will only hurt us. We are in the SEC, we don't need tough out of conference opponents. Maybe in 2 years, but not now. We have to focus on Bowl games.

I agree. A loss to Vandy negates any progress and renders the season a failure.

Vandy's not as good as they were last year, but they're not bad either. I give UT the slight edge, being at home. Vandy has played Tennessee tough in Knoxville here lately. I'm not even 100% sure UT will beat Kentucky either L)... These last 3 games will be interesting.

But I do think for TN it will come down to needing to beat Vandy & UK to become bowl eligible.

Well we lost and secured a 4th straight losing season. The entire culture around the football program is in decay. I have never seen the program in such bad shape in my life.
