What 3 unfortunate kids are being forced to stay??? (8 of 11 allowed to transfer)
Somehow that's an insult to teams that just sucked. I don't know what word to use that is worse than 'sucked' but that was them last year.
I guess we'll have to make up a word or phrase. Let's see...Pitt Panthered....Stallingsed.....Stallinged.....Pitt Stallingsed.....Pitt......
After this Stallings debacle, I don't have confidence the AD knows what a good coach is. Otherwise, Dixon would still be the coach!
Should go hire Ollie. Probably get a lot of the UCONN kids at least lol
They hit the Pitts!
Don't know if this has been posted but pretty funny
Kevin Stallings caught by FBI offering $100,000 to anyone who would attend a Pitt basketball game - Sports Pickle
"Sources say the FBI began investigating Stallings over reports that he was stealing more than a million dollars a year from the University of Pittsburgh....."
That's comedy gold right there!!!
I think the question now is whether or not Pitt will be able to field a coaching staff.
I said this in another thread, but the size of the re-building job plays a huge role in coaching searches. Only UNC, Duke, Kentucky, Indiana, etc. are immune to that.
I'm still struggling to understand how they let Jamie Dixon get away.
hurley turnd pitt down went to uconn
They're absolutely going to need to get lucky on a hire because no well known or even somewhat known guy is taking that job with no onconobg class and 3 guys on scholarship. Shit we aren't that fat removed from Pitt being a national title contender. How does this happen so fast ? Pretty amazing really
Freshman year my buddy kept bugging me to be a manager with him.
He wound up on scholarship and started as a senior.
We've never won a tournament game....
Great destination for 5th year transfers.
And foreign kids.
There's opportunity with an open roster. But it would take some serious leg work. And prolly more networking than is possible.
JOHN Calipari needs a new challenge. I don't think he's going to be winning any more national championships at Kentucky.
I wouldn't shed a tear of they were forced to shut down their basketball program(s). Not one.
Note: Yes I know that'll never happen. But there aren't enough bad things that can happen to the University of Pittsburgh that would ever make me happy.
Wow. That's harsh. Why so much animosity?
It seems like only yesterday the yinzers wanted to run Jamie Dixon out of town because they thought Pitt was a blue-blood and could do better.
This is where Oats should go. He already has 2 power 5 recruits going to buffalo. It’s a starting point.
I find this pitt job fascinating.
It’s basically like a brand new program with power 5 resources.
