I am for sure. We will always have a top 10 recruiting class under him and I'm not worried about player development of any kid he signs be it a 3 star to 5 star. The only thing I'm curious about is sustainability. Can we finish in the top 10 every year? This year we will find out with all the craziness that has happened this off season.

If ND slips and falls to 8-4 or 9-3, then what? Just two years ago, the boards were loaded with the ND faithful ready to kick BK down the road. I thought Everett Golson was a great QB and would be the key to ND's success this year, but now that ND is back with Rees, that's a huge question mark.

Not sure what "boards" you are referring to but not this ND faithful. 8-4, 9-3, 7-5, etc...blah, guy has an amazing track record of success.

Let me flip this on you, what if Lane was to go...oh let's say 7-6. Would the USC "faithful" be ready to kick LK down the road.

Oh wait, that was 2012. So you tell us...what is it like?

The ONLY thing I'm concerned about with Kelly and his crew is how long they will stay at ND as a unit.

Recruiting, player development, and wins are speaking for themselves.

I am 100% on board.

I like all of Kelly's assistants and would be happy if one got the job if he bolted.

I think our DC would be next in line.

Last time we promoted a Defensive Coordinator to head coach was Bob Davie. Hopefully we can keep this group of coaches together for a while longer. (but I doubt it, I think Diaco is ready to be a hc somewhere).

Hmmm...very good point. Both Bobs too. Coincidental?

Diaco > Davie

Will be a great head coach. Hopefully fills BK shoes...with bling already on his finger by then!!

I am on board. As like many of you have said, how long is he here for? I think he would leave for the NFL, but I cannot see him going to another school. So lets hope the NFL does not need new coaches anytime soon....lol

I'm rooting for Chip Kelly to have a Crap season in Philly his year. It will reduce the demand or a spread option college coach. If he has a good year, ND's Kelly will be in even bigger demand.

Well that will help also! Track record for college coaches in the NFL have not been good over the past, IDK how many yrs? Last good college coach was Jimmy Johnson and Nick Saban!!

On the ESPN boards, during and after the 2011 season, the guys there had enough and wanted his head on a platter.

I was one of the USC faithful not happy with the Kiffin hire. He was a flop in Oakland and had done a not so good job during his short stint at UT; not to mention, he seemed to piss off a lot of folks in the process. Who knows what this season will bring. We have a very, very young secondary that could get shredded, a new qb (probably Wittek who lost to you and GT). Could be a long year, but on the bright side, Kiffin will be gone and we can get a quality coach.
