More super bowls
More GWD
More 4 Quarter comebacks
MUCH more competition in division.
But Rodgers has not had a RB like Emmitt Smith, or a MIchael Irvin, or an O-line as good as those Cowboy's teams, or a perennial top 10 defense like those Cowboy's teams. Does that factor in, in any way?

Cool - he had good stats with one of the easiest schedules in the league.

Stats =/= greatness
The Packers played seven games against teams that made the post season last year. I suppose you think most teams face nine or ten post-season caliber teams a year?

As someone who hates Rodgers simply because he has embarrassed the Vikings defense on multiple occasions, I can say that Rodgers is the greatest QB of my lifetime. If he had a Oline that was worth a damn, he would simply be untouchable.
Arodg is one of the best passers on the run. Getting out of the pocket helps him. It gives him more time and defenders need to adjust as receivers change their routes to get open. Giving him credit he still needs to make the passes. The only one better IMO is little Rusty Wilson.

No question...I gave the OP the DEF PA stat ranking for every season since the SB win...his theory is that because he's an elite QB he should have more than 1 SB ring...it doesn't quite work like that.

Yup. I've always believed I'd give more credit to a player who plays well in a loss than a player who plays poor in a win....and I'll side more with a player who has more of the burden on his shoulders. I still put Dan Marino on a mythical 'Mt Rushmore' of QB's because HE was THAT good.

It's sad in a way that many of the younger guys missed Marino in his prime. People just don't realize how talented he was...5000 yards and 48 TDs in 1984? Are you serious?...still to this day, the best arm talent I've ever seen play. But...even with his Gold Jacket, w/o any rings, he's never going to be in that conversation with Brady, and Montana, etc.

Watched the Football Life with Marino this weekend on NFL Network

As you know already, no one throws passes today that Marino threw back than

Holy Christ, you want exhibit A of "How Eras' are different", watch that shit

I saw some of it...I had some good fortune to see Marino play live probably 10-12 times when I lived in Tampa.
Saw the Steelers get beat twice in the old Orange bowl, and what was once Joe Robbie Stadium.

Danny boy, could spin it with the best, and I mean the very best. And for a guy with such bad wheels, his quick release and a slide step here or there kept him from getting sacked a ton.

No. Evaluating QBs purely based upon rings is one of the dumbest sports takes ever.

I would say the biggest difference between the two is where they were drafted.

Only difference bewteen Rogers and Bradford are where they were drafted. :L

Mobility? LMAO Poise in the pocket? Ability to move away from the defender and make a play?

Can someone put CowboyB in timeout for 1-2 weeks so he can't make threads?

But stats are your only argument for Sam Bradford last year and his rookie year.

How convenient

Rodgers is 34, Ryan 32.

Actually Rodgers is 33. So there's a whole year age difference which of course puts them in totally different stages in their careers.

I see Cowboy B is reeling in a lot of folks with his trolls on this board, too.

True and Bradford has a stronger and more accurate arm.

hes the best homosexual football player ever. 2 seasons...TWO...with double digit picks.

brady has 9. both started around the same age (brady at 24, rodgers at 25). brady has 1 season of 40+ TD's. rodgers has 2.

the standard is brady, we know that. rings, numbers, etc.

if rodgers stays healthy and plays to 40 like brady, he may be up there at the end for numbers. the rings kill him tho. GB should have at least 3 with him.
