It's fairly standard to have support on Android products for at least 2-3 at least years. Apple has been recently better in that regard but they have been pushing their older models without contracts more recently. Android phones tend to have more new options available every year for upper tier, middle tier, and bottom tier products compared to Apple who continues to sell old flagships which likely explains the difference in operating system support.

Swipe down on the top screen and go to settings. I have to swipe up from the bottom of the screen on my iPad to bring up the airplane mode option which isn't that different.

Did you get yours? I got mine Friday and the damn wifi issue screwed me on Sunday when I went out without my phone. It was liberating until I realized I had no signal. Fixed it by resetting my networks settings to forget all wifi locations, and then turning off "ask to join". As long as it doesn't know there is a wifi there you are fine.

Not yet. Wife didn't make up her mind that cellular finally pushed her over the edge to get one until the next day. Looks like it comes mid-october?! Did you get the LTE version?

Yup. By the time you get yours they should have the wifi issue fixed. If you are unlimited data then it won't matter. I just deleted all known wifi networks and it goes to cellular data every time I shut off my phone.

Felt weird as hell leaving my phone at my desk as I went to meetings today.

While iphones are awesome, Apple the company is a cuntface.

I don't know man, as someone who's only used Android phones, I'm always having to wait out the time between when the phone starts to take a shit and when I'm eligible to upgrade. On the other hand, I feel like it's pretty common to see people still rocking 4 or 5 year old iPhones...

Maybe Android brands should consider optimizing battery performance with time. Considering that would require them to provide OS updates in general, it's probably asking too much.
