People think that because many Iowa fans refuse to let go of the 17 wins in a row that we had. Winning every other year against Iowa has made a lot of Cyclone fans delusional, more so than Iowa trolls. I heard many of them talk about how they would win 10 games in the B1G in most years. They truly are a magical bunch.

yeah that sounds a bit far fetched.....but i like the cyclones they are a scrappy bunch and i hope rhoads can bring them up a few notches

i was talking more recently.....obviously,but you go ahead and think this game will still be a pushover

You haven't changed a bit, still putting words in peoples mouths, and suffering from a lack of reading comprehension.

what are you talking about?.......i am just having a little banter with some iowa/cfb fans

Where did HRUF say the game would be a 'pushover' or anything remotely resembling that?

i was saying that as a little ribbing humor, sir

not meaning to directly imply that he said it :yo:

and my 1stcomment just stems from people/espn/etc saying isu could "upset" iowa....i just dont see it as an upset . i think they are pretty close to equal at this moment

This is the youngest team that Ferentz has had at Iowa. There will be no pushovers. The good thing about the next 4 games is that they are all at home. That way, we can build a little confidence, figure out what we're best at, and try to not get crushed by MSU on the road.

I personally wouldn't see it as an upset the way Rhodes motivates, keeps his players disciplined, and the way things have been going for Iowa lately.

It could be percieved as an upset by those with the knowledge that Iowa gets the best players in the state and that Iowa St hasn't won in Iowa City since 2002.

It's a big recruiting weekend also. Iowa has Pierschbacher, Lazard, Scheel, and Render all visiting and coming to the game this week. That is a possible 5*, 4*, 4*, and 3* kids who are all from Iowa.

I dont think anyone is disagreeing that the series has been pretty even over the last 15 years or so. However that doesnt mean that Iowa fans thought those games were tossups. With the exception of 98-01 Iowa has had the better team every single year compared to ISU and is still only 5-5 in those years. Thats what rivalries do I suppose but doesnt mean the games were considered tossups going into them ( even ISU fans would tell you the same)

All I ask is that we start the season 5-0...i think this team could get better each week as long as they get some confidence. They remind me a bit of 2008 where they got real good by the end of the year
