Even though the women's match wasn't nearly as good as this one. What a treat for the fans today to see both finals go the distance.

loved seeing fed raise his level, but looks like he's having a hard time sustaining it.

the last 7-8 games took a lot out of him, it appears.

the women's final had 18 breaks of serve. truly hideous.

this match has been wonderful.

I think I may have watched 10 minutes of the women's match if that.

No need to really watch Women's tennis unless Serena is playing even though I'm starting to like Keys but she was a major disappointment here

fed had to completely deplete his gas tank to win that 2nd set. it showed in the 3rd. no legs left whatsoever.

crazy that even with nole's drop in play, he still won comfortably in the 3rd set, breaking fed 3 times.

non-tennis fans don't understand, and combine it with people who just go by emotions, and it's hopeless.

 Some people have very high inflated opinion of themselves. Congratulations, Novak Djokovic!

pretty good final week of IW

glad that serena's okay for miami. roger's at a point in his career where he knows which tournaments he should skip to get himself ready for majors. glad the ATP gives guys his age with his time in service the ability to skip some masters 1000 tournaments without penalty.

lol

raonic is lethargic even for a tree.

it's why nadal can get away with returning serve from 20 feet behind the baseline, and have zero problems holding serve himself. he has all the time in the world against raonic all of the time.

it will be another severe beatdown in tomorrow's semifinal against fed, so congrats to fed haters in advance.

Well damn if Raonic didn't beat Nadal.... At least Roger iced him.

I suspect the only way Roger will win another major is if Serbty loses somewhere in the draw before he has to play him.

first time in many years i've seen nadal run out of gas and defend so poorly. lateral movement is just slower than it was even 12 months ago. great win for raonic.

i agree about fed and majors. beating nole is hard enough for him in a 3 setter right now, and add nadal...yeesh, that's tough to ask of a 34 year old in a major. it's a good thing that nadal is more vulnerable on grass and hard courts, i guess. maybe some hope that things could break fed's way for 1 more major. i hope so.

He's a backboard. Everything comes back.
he doesn't just get the ball back, though. he goes from defense to offense almost instantaneously. almost no groundstrokes off his racquet that weren't within a foot of a line, including when he was on the dead run.

that kind of consistent depth of shot no matter where he is on the court is just insane.

How about Everything comes back with attitude....?

I am not a fan of him but I can at least admit he's good. I may have liked him more if his "severe" looking mother wasn't always around early in his career. She always seemed like she'd be happy ethnically cleansing somwhere....

the parents are both obnoxious. he and fed seem to have become amicable at least, though.

All her shrieking aside, a lot of the reason I disliked Sharapova early on was her papa too.

Now he's not around, I can handle her and sort of like her, shrieking aside.
