I'm fully supporting Devin Butler now

The arresting officer, Aaron Knepper, has a long history of police misconduct. I don't believe anything this police officer says. I heard the other two cops with him the night Butler was arrested were also involved in some of Knepper's other incidents. All eye witnesses back Butler and this cop is a well known douche. I hope Butler's attorney is a good one. Butler's only crime might be at the wrong place at the wrong time. I hope there is some kind of video evidence somewhere. I would like to be proven wrong about this because I generally trust cops but something is definitely wrong here

I've read the same stuff. Hopefully they can get the truth out, but this cop sounds like an ass.

They need some sort of video. I find it hard to believe there is no video in this day in age. People video everything involved with the cops.

I had heard of conflicting stories, and perhaps that is why he wasn't kick out of school or at least hadn't been last I knew. If the officer is making this stuff up Butler won't need a football career he'll be able to make plenty of money off the state of Indiana.

Apparently there was a meeting yesterday or the day before where city officials and members of the SBPD got to answer questions and/or speak with citizens of SB. Most of the meeting went off without a hitch but I guess there was one lady who was outraged that officers like Knepper were still in uniform, and she let everyone know.

Yeah. The SBT article I read said there was quite a contingent chanting for his departure.

Not sure what this means for Butler's case as his change in assignment might not be admissible as improper character evidence.

I think the biggest problem is there are conflicting eyewitness reports of what happened.

There HAS to be video somewhere. I'm heading to the game today. When I walk to my buddy's tailgate, I will stroll past the 'Backer and see if they have outside cameras. I would assume if someone took a video with their phone it would be on the interwebz already.

In this day and age EVERYONE has a camera. Especially when police are in a crowd. I'm amazed one hasn't surfaced yet.

Walked past the 'Backer twice. There are multiple cameras by each door and pointing towards the parking lot on Edison. Didn't see any by the canopy area nor any in the back by the intersection. So I guess it all depends on where the incident took place. If it occurred near the main entrance, I have no doubt there is video evidence.

Yeah I'm not sure what's going on it really sounds like the series of events for that night is in question and maybe this police officer isn't one of the good guys.

Knepper is not allowed to go on patrol anymore. He is pushing pencils for the time being so obviously something is up with his long history. Then again, it is the South Bend police, he probably got a promotion and now is a detective.
