Damn right. He'll be back.
Maybe he just took time off to get his neural net processor upgraded??
So is he gone....for good.
Are we safe now?
Safe from what? KS is absolutely missed and whether or not he ever puts in another appearance the board is not as good as it would be if he was here more often.
What about that new cancer treatment they just suspended? It sounds extremely promising with the exception of adding that chemo drug thats been causing abnormal brain swelling.. but its had a massive success rate so far.
I honestly had no clue what was meant by that post and therefore didn't say anything.
I'm hoping it's related to my Terminator post.
I fully expect we'll hear from KS soon.
We had a KS sighting today! Made a new thread in the tech section about legacy printer support for Windows 10 (A very KS kind of thing)
Intsalling older printers in Windows 10, 8, 7
Really comforting to know he still has time to comment on Windows 10 and its various issues.
Best thing I've read on the Hoop in months.
I make a habit of checking in on this thread from the main board. Noticing no activity in a month I feared the worst. This is great great news. It's been 2 years since he thought he'd be saying goodbye "soon". Let's hope for many more.
very glad to hear he has posted and hoping all of the best for him!
Sadly it isn't cancer (can I say that?). It's neurological and though I am supposed to see the neurologist the 14th of October the way it has been the last 3 days I am calling VA tomorrow and they either get me in sooner or I'm making a trip to the ER for relief. I just can't go on like this.
sorry 3.14. praying for you to get some relief, sir.
I am humbled by your message but the truth is I'm just one poster of many on a board filled with good posters (OK, there are few assholes too ). I just enjoy the camaraderie of the board and try to pass on anything I can when it seem right to do so, other times I just bite my tongue and continue on. Nothing serious has ever been solved on a message board, and for me that goes back a long ways...like to TRS-80 and BBS times.
I learned to type on a trash 80 and most of my early programming days were on Apple IIe's and IIc's.
Still, those were upgrades from the commadore pet2001 I first worked on. Used cassette tapes and an 8" floppy for storage.
We are always happy to see you pop in and drop a note when you are up to it.
The first math computer lab at OU was setup by Dr. Andre (who has an award named for him) and consisted of TRS-80s, the first models. The first PC I bought was a TRS-80 Coco...
