More like you're tired of bending over for them!!! Don't blame you a bit.

You're a little bit ahead of me, but I'm on this same path. Got rid of DTV and the Sunday Tkt for Comcast...we have the blast tier on internet and base cable...for the 2 yr deal, the savings over what we had initially has been $98 a mo.

After this teaser pkg is over in '17...I want to cut the cable off and go with TV on demand myself and an HD antenna for the local. We have a Roku 2 and plan on buying another box.

BEND THOSE BITCHES OVER!! Can't tell you how much happier I am, not having to deal with them AND I have plenty of TV. Having the antenna with ALL major networks and ESPN, ESPN 2 on slice TV.. I have plenty of sports to watch. I'll add CBS expanded on the Roku 2 come march madness for 1 month at $5.

Have u tried the Roku4 yet? I got the upgraded 2, which was essentially the roku3 but not with voice command.

You get plenty of TV with the Roku and Netflix.

weird.

amazon has roku3 rated higher than the 4.

I think the 4 is 4k ready, might have some other features...the prices are coming down to where it makes sense to spend the 200 to get a 4k set, but I'm still on the fence.

Yeah I NEVER get electronics when they come out new. I wait for a few months and see what the ratings are, what the bugs are, etc.

The Roku 2 (4210R) with faster processor is all I need.

This whole 4K deal has me thinking it's just another way for them to fuck us. Like when the iPhone 5 came out and everyone had to get new chargers, cords, etc.

Good for you, SJ...we haven't had cable or satellite for years. Everything is available through the internet now, anyway, so get a good internet plan, a streaming device, and a digital antenna.

Plus, 95% of the shit on TV is just that: shit. If there's a show that's completely awesome and everybody's talking about it, I'll wait for it to become available on-line and then binge-watch it.

It's harder for sports, but with things like Sling, MLBTV, etc., you can pick and choose which ones you want to add. the days of paying 100$ for 1,000 channels of excrement should be over.

Kodi unlocks the firestick to give you pretty much every channel in the world for free. It's worth it. I don't have it myself, but someone I know who isn't me does.

FCC recently ruled that cable and satellite have to allow competitor set top boxes. This is a step closer to the end for them. No more "$19 a month for DTV" and then they hit you with $100 in fees for set top boxes.

And Playstation Vue for the win if you are lucky enough to live in a city that gets it. Fox Sports is on Vue.

So many options.. Vue? Kodi? These are new to me. Sounds fabulous. Anything to fuck these cable TV bastards.

Vue is only in a few cities and you need a playstation 3 or 4, maybe their Sony TV's work but I don't think so.

Kodi is an eBay special. My issue is at any moment Amazon could issue an update and brick it.
