It was during the Akron-Kent State game.

Akron went ahead 17-7, scoring with 17 seconds remaining in the half.

Kent gets the ball on a touchback and runs their back off-tackle for 8 yards, from their 25 yard-line. They hurry up,
line up and snap the ball with 1 second to play in the half.

(But they don't throw...Why in the hell, hurry up?)

The kid runs off tackle again and fights for yardage to get the first down. Why?

Akron strips the ball from him...picks it up and runs 35 yards for a TD.

2 scores in 17 seconds to close out the half.

I have zero idea what any of them from Kent State were thinking

I've come to the conclusion that good coaches are hard to come by, and that most of them are just dumb asses.

I see major college coaches fuck up clock management on a weekly basis.
Who the fuck does that exactly.

Kent State has some absolute gems of greatness!!
:pound::pound::pound::spit::spit:
Still not sure who fails most. The Kent State player, or the Towson players trying desperately to tackle him..:facepalm5:

Ehlinger threw the ball out of bounds on 4th down behind at the end of the game.

Two years ago we had players spiking the ball on fourth down at the end of games while their team was down.

Reggie Ball for Georgia Tech did that against Georgia once during the Chan Gailey and Calvin Johnson years.

Nuff said. I watched the game last night and knew exactly what you were going to say.

That was a weird game last night as Kent's Coach made that absolutely stupid decision (seriously, hurry up to run the ball as the clock expires and you are 80 yards away from the endzone), and then he got an Unsportsmanlike Contact penalty because he throw down his play card and the wind caught it and blew it 30 yards near the refs. :pound:

I love the MAC.

LOL!! I forgot about that gem of a play

The funny part is the Towson players eventually caught him and stopped him from running into his own endzone

what a clownshow

This thread might as well be a tribute to the Paul Haynes era at Kent State...it was announced this morning that his contract would not be renewed

who takes over Saban? Chip Kelly? Jon Gruden? Jimbo Fisher?

Saban is an alum....

I'm not sure who will eventually get the job.

I do know they have listed one of their requirements though.
"No Former Tennessee Coaches Need Apply."
