He's not that fantastic. Unless his strength and conditioning coach got better, don't look for Sproles to be fit for the grueling punishment that an NFL season has in store.

Nate Studfeld overcame a slow start to throw for 2 TDs. Unfortunately he only played a half and Philly could not get over the hump in this all-important first preseason game.

Seriously now, Pittsburgh outplayed Philly and deserved the win. Their backup units made fewer mistakes.

It's all about poking sticks. After the starters and some of the backups sit, these games are only good for evaluation of those fighting spots.
In defense of the Eagles, Sud is 3rd strong and in most cases he wouldn't have played until the 3rd or 4th qtr.

The Eagles are clearly grooming Sudfeld to be the #2 after Foles moves on, and I think he will be a solid #2. He pretty much is right now. Is he starting material? Not at the moment, but he could be down the line. He's got some good tools to work with.
