I don't know either, he was actually playing well when he got injured. If he can come back from the injury he will probably be worth it. I'm also guessing it's a front loaded deal that they will be able to get out of in year two or three without much hassle. I' m guessing they add another CB in free agency just not one of the bigger names.

This reminds me a lot of when my Packers picked up Woodson. I think you guys will be pleasantly surprised with Sherman. The man has skills and now has a chip on his shoulder.

Interesting that he negotiated his own contract. Must be a fairly intelligent dude. A shit head maybe, but intelligent.

They MAY sign another FA CB but i'd guess they'll draft two more. One who is a potential starter next year, similar to Witherspoon is Round 3. The other after Round 3 with just potential but odds are lower.

Then they'll bring in other UDFA's, hoping to find a Brock, or at least a NB.

I don’t like when my team signs a player I hate. It makes it tough to root for the team.

But at the end of the day, we all root for laundry, so it comes down to that, I guess...

Ill comment more on this later. It was reoprted the 49ers and Denver had agreed to trade Talib to the 49ers but Talib said we would not report so the trade died
Fuck Talib! I want him even less than Sherman.

Warriors got dominated at the end again. Two games in a row. Not willing to work hard enough and let Townes get his own rebound to ice the game on a put back.

Sherman is better than Talib OMG, also consider Sherman was playing with an injury for a while, until it finally gave out on him, so if his procedures fixed him up and he comes back healthy, he's gonna lock it down for you guy's ... Sherman is a great player, love him or hate him.... I"m not happy about it all, but that's the NFL, it always moves forward...

I didn't want either. The injury thing with Sherman is concerning. At least financially it sounds like the commitment is only one year. Can get out of it after that

Smart. A 30 year old CB coming off of surgery on both achilles tendons is not a feel good situation.

I had a feeling that was the kind of deal it would be go out and prove it and you'll get paid if you are a good corner worth keeping but can't make the pro bowl you won't be paid like one. I think he would basically cost about 7 to 8 million a year without those incentives in the final two years of the deal. So this really isn't a bad deal for the 49ers.

You'll learn very quickly that the deal was whatever Sherman says it was whether or not it's true or full of crap. I love the guy and do hope he does well so it sparks up a little of that rivalry, but his non stop know it all attitude gets exhausting and quickly. The reality is that he thinks he's smart enough to be his own agent but he got played.

That's fine the actual numbers are in the 49ers favor not Sherman's. I doubt he makes the pro bowl of makes all pro this year but maybe.
