Harley is not out of the question but I did a lot of research and from what I read Yamaha is the most reliable bike out there.
I have ridden for over 50 years and Yamama has been the least dependable bike name I have ever owned. I judge by personal experience not what some guy wrote.

But today bikes are considerably more reliable than back in the day.

You will enjoy riding BUT MAKE SURE you take the riding course before you plant your butt on one you own. First bikes at speed counter steer which has gotten a lot of new riders killed. Wear protective gear when your ride.

Don't worry so much about what you ride just ride. Currently I own a Heritage SoftTail Classic, a 1200 Sporty, Kawasaki K400 dual sports and a Yamama 125cc Vino Scooter. At last a Yamama that runs.
