Husker News: Huskers to Take on K-State on Thursday Night

For the second straight year, Nebraska will open Big 12 Conference play with a Thursday night road game. The Huskers' contest at Kansas State has been moved from Saturday, Oct. 2 to Thursday, Oct. 7 to accommodate an **** national telecast, the network announced on Friday. Kickoff time will be determined at a later date.

It costs us like 4 days of prep for Texas. So that's a big downside but it's still a nice exposure move. I don't think K-State has had a big nationally televised home game like this for a couple years so I'm sure they were happy with the move.

I noticed that this game will be on Thursday October 7th 2010. Nebraska played OSU on October 7th 1993, which was also on a Thursday night.

I remember purchasing tickets for a Moody Blues concert on October 7th 1993 in Omaha, a few days before I knew Nebraska would be playing on the same night.
I recorded the game and watched it after I got home.
