Based on this, the average #2 starter has a 12-10 record with a 3.54 ERA (108 ERA+) in about 184 IP with a 1.23 WHIP.

Nice work Stan!

Im preparing myself for DD to trade Ricky, like an idiot. Third in innings from this group, and just coming into form.

Ian Kennedy isn't the Padres number 2 starter. Tyson Ross is & he's damn good. Andrew Cashner is he Padres #1.

Cashner threw too way few innings for me to consider him the Padres #1 for 2014 (123 where Kennedy and Ross had around 200). I mentioned in the criteria for the #1 starters that I placed an innings minimum where applicable...obviously for one reason, it tends to be easier to keep rate stats low when you had a lot less innings.

I would have had Liriano as the Bucs' number one, innings be darned. Cole number two, Volquez three, also innings be darned. Not because they're obviously better pitchers, but because, even in limited action, I think Liriano and Cole added more to the team than Eddie.
